Jacob Stockton isn’t your typical contractor — he’s a builder in the truest sense of the word. A Wilmington local since 1999, Jacob’s passion for construction started early. By the age of six, he was hammering alongside his dad in their family’s workshop, learning not just how things go together, but why details matter.

After earning a finance degree from UNCW, Jacob spent time working in both the business and construction worlds. But it was clear where he belonged — out on job sites, solving problems with his hands, building homes from the ground up. In 2015, he founded Southern Cypress Construction with a mission to do things differently: focus on quality, be transparent with clients, and build homes that are meant to last for generations.

Today, Jacob leads every project with a sharp eye for detail, a steady hand, and a commitment to treating every home like it’s his own. Whether he's managing a new build or guiding a renovation, he brings a personal touch that homeowners recognize—and trust.

When he’s not on a job site, you’ll find Jacob outdoors—training for triathlons, biking around Wilmington, or spending time with his wife Ashley and their kids. He brings that same drive and endurance from the race course to every project he takes on.
